THE BIKE IS DONE!

After some tweaking to install the chain guard and a little shopping on Ebay, it's complete. I also had to change the handlebars because the originals were not very comfortable. It's surprising how well this 57 year old lady rides. The original hubs still do a great job of rolling and stopping. This bike is a lot of fun to ride and it is very tight. No wobbles or rattle anywhere, it has a very solid feel to it. Even though I did not do a full paint job on this, it was still labor intensive. But the results are just amazing and I am pleased to add this one to my small stable of bikes.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the build off bikes at ratrodbikes.com.

Hey she looks beautiful, did you buy a new crankset or did you clean it the same way you cleaned the hub?

Your CCM Victoria restoration is very sweet. I am not normally a bike enthusiast but since I saw your restore I have been dreaming about doing one. I found a 1947 bike similar to your but before I buy the bike I have many questions but I will limit it to one. Do you think your bike would accomodate a 26 x 2.125 tire for the front forks and rear? I know they are normally 28' x 1.5 but i thought they might have a little more room if I was using a 26' tire. Help please and thanks for the "up" on the blog.

This is beautiful! I've never heard of this kind of bike, my name is Victoria-that would be cool. I just tore down my bike for the first time. It's a 1977 FUJI Sports 5L. Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it. Thanks a million for the useful help.
